Fortress

Designing the World’s Simplest, Most Secure Login

Fortress reimagines digital authentication by delivering what it calls the world’s simplest, most secure login experience.

OVERVIEW

Instead of asking users to juggle passwords, facial recognition, SMS codes and other frustrating multi‑factor tools, Fortress reduces access to a single 4‑digit PIN backed by an advanced dual‑layer architecture. My role was to define the user experience for the front-end website of this new platform, balancing enterprise‑grade security with elegant simplicity.

My Role & Contributions

As the lead UX/UI designer and front‑end designer, I was responsible for turning this vision into a cohesive digital experience across every touchpoint. I conceived and built the public‑facing website, including all the page flows. This meant:

  • Homepage – introduces the company’s mission and outlines why traditional authentication is broken.

  • Industries we Serve – showcases how Fortress adapts to verticals like private banking, healthcare and regulated gambling.

  • About Us – tells the origin story, core values and leadership team.

  • UHNW – presents a bespoke experience for ultra‑high‑net‑worth clients, emphasizing privacy and exclusivity.

  • Contact Us – invites visitors to start a conversation with clear calls to action.

My responsibilities included establishing the design system, structuring the content, prototyping and iterating on layouts, and implementing responsive front‑end design. I translated the product’s complex features into a clear, trustworthy narrative.

The Challenge

On the Fortress homepage, the team wanted to clearly outline the problems with existing MFA:

  • Customers are tired of complex logins and constant password changes;
  • Support teams lose time resetting accounts;
  • Hackers continue to exploit biometric and SMS vulnerabilities;
  • Compliance pressures keep rising.

 My challenge was to distill these pain points and the product’s benefits into pages that felt simple, confident and elegance.

Key Contributions

Design Approach

Establishing a cohesive design system

I built a design system using deep navy, jet black, pearl white and an accent gold. Playfair Display was chosen for headlines and Inter for body copy to balance sophistication and readability. I defined reusable components (buttons, input fields, status pills and data grids) from the product’s style guide and adapted them for marketing use.

Crafting the narrative flow

Built for the threats of tomorrow

The pages highlight benefits like ultra‑simple UX, independent auth layers, breach protection and fast integration. I organized verticals into cards with quick descriptors. Each card links to detailed case studies, encouraging exploration. I showcased the core values and introduced the leadership team with concise bios.

The Outcome

The new website successfully communicated Fortress’ value proposition to diverse audiences. Visitors appreciated the clear explanation of the product’s 4‑digit PIN approach and the way complex security concepts were presented through simple visuals.

Designing Fortress’ marketing website taught me how to translate technically sophisticated products into compelling narratives. Balancing the needs of multiple verticals while maintaining a cohesive voice required close collaboration, careful content strategy and a robust design system.
